If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why?

The truth is, I’m happy being a human. I have the privilege of having my relationships with my fellow humans, plus the amazing opportunity of bonding with virtually any other kind of animal. But if I had to choose, I’d love to be a cockatoo. I love the funny little guys! They can fly, and they can make friends with other animals.

I’m not exactly sure what particular animal I’d be, but I have always dreamed of being able to fly next to geese and soar with the eagles.

I would love to be a salmon in the Pacific Northwest! Growing up I learned about all the infrastructure that was put in place to assist salmon during migration periods and would find that so cool to experience. Besides that, I would enjoy being a fish as I love the ocean and swimming!

I have my motorcycle license but have never owned a motorcycle.

I am nearly complete in a degree for Mechanical engineering! When I first started college I worked some security type jobs - I have a number of certifications in crisis intervention, security authorities, interviewing & investigations, along with drug overdose/medical responses.

While attending my previous college, San Diego State University, I was awarded an internship from the National Science foundation from my academic accomplishments! I was so lucky to work with the Department of the Navy through this and learned so much regarding robotics!

I’d be a dolphin. They are one of the smartest species on the planet. They also eat 33 lbs of fish a day, and I love seafood. Not only that, but they have the ability to rest one hemisphere of their brain for short periods, which allows them to keep swimming, breathing, and eating, all while napping. Naps are my favorite!

I used to ride motorcycles, I am 6 feet tall, and am allergic to dairy.

Two rescue cats. A Orange Tabby and a black and white cat. Tigger and Otis. They are both indoor/outdoor cats. Tigger is very independent and always hungry. He will give you kisses but will only let you hold him on his terms. He only likes to be petted and scratched on his head. He loves to play with his brother until his brother gets on his nerves. He also loves to play with fluffy balls, lasers and string toys. He loves the outdoors. Otis is skittish. He doesn’t like to be held but loves massages. He doesn’t go far from home. He loves to play and aggravate his brother. He loves to run around the room and jump on his castle, climb trees and chase lizards. He also loves to play with fluffy toys, string toys, and believe it or not pine cones. My husband brings him small pine cones home from the west coast He wakes me up at 5 every morning to go outside. He loves the outdoors. They both like to bring me mice, lizards and yes black garden snakes.

I was born in Selma, Alabama but lived in Florence, Alabama most of my life. We moved here in 2001 because my husband took a job with Georgia Pacific.

I have 3 rescue cats! Lucy & Ricky are sister & brother from same outdoor litter, and 9.5 years old. Lulu is 10.5 and I rescued her from my mother who had dementia & sadly was not treating her well. Lulu was VERY aggressive, but we have worked together to overcome all her fears and she is now a sweet, loving kitty.

Having worked at a very stressful Corporate job at an average 50 hours per week for 18+ years straight, with no more than 1 week off at a time, I didn't have energy for much outside of the job as I live alone and don't have a support network. So I am excited to finally have a job that is stress free and allows me to have some time to myself for some serious soul searching. Also, I have a great sense of humor.

"I have a 9 yo Russell Terrier named Tucker! He is smart, spunky, and energetic. He is pretty obedient for the most part but is becoming more suborn with age. He loves his Frisbee, swimming, and going for walks. I have two female rescue cats (Faith and Dotty) under the age of 2. Faith was found in a bush at a local church parking lot and Dotty was fostered and then adopted from Clay County Animal Services. The cats are very entertaining and friendly."

If I could be any animal, I’d choose to be an octopus. Imagine living in the vast, mysterious ocean and having the magical ability to transform your appearance at will like mimicking lionfish, sea snakes, or even flatfish. Each day would be a creative adventure, where survival becomes an art of disguise and transformation. I’d be a master of adaptability, blending into any situation while turning the deep blue into my very own living canvas.
